For the second piece depicting Claire De lune I wanted to show how the song has not yet transitioned, but is about to. To do this I set our main character on the right side, walking alone and with a dark aura around him to represent sadness. I then put our second character on the left with a yellow aura to symbolize hope. There is also a glow coming from the distance in the image, in the direction our characters are moving, so it symbolizes that the song is moving toward being happier.

I started by just sketching the city scene to get an outline for the piece.

I then added in the characters as well as some building details.

From here I began coloring the piece, adding in familiar building hues and a similar sky/

I then added the glowing light in the distance with a "lightbrush" tool

To wrap it up I added shadows on the left.
